Resolution:
In order to avoid any errors being returned from Amazon due to too many characters in the description (2000 are allowed) or due to HTML characters, that unfortunately would not be supported anymore by Amazon, a custom filed can be created when you go to Settings > Custom Fields > Add Custom User Field, so the Amazon descriptions would be pushed like text only, without HTML of any type:
Once the amzndescription is mapped to the Description field in Settings -> Channels -> Amazon Main XML Mapping, this would allow having separate Amazon Description for your products and any values placed there would override the values in the regular Description field only for the Amazon instance:
