Each person's access to Taska is set by seven AI permissions. Owners and Admins have all of them; other roles get a smaller set by default, and an admin can change any of them for one person.
The seven permissions
- Use AI home: open Taska Home.
- Use AI chat: chat with Taska, on the Chat page and from the chat button.
- View AI listing plans: see all plans and open any plan.
- Run AI listing plans: create, edit, rename, approve, run, cancel and undo plans, skip tasks, and have Taska build plans in chat.
- View AI reporting: open the Reporting page.
- Manage AI settings: change AI Settings.
- Manage AI billing: choose or change the AI plan, start a free trial, buy credits, and open the Billing page.
What each role gets by default
- Owner and Admin: all seven.
- Product Manager: Use AI home, Use AI chat, View AI listing plans, View AI reporting, and Run AI listing plans.
- Settings Manager, Order & Shipping Manager and User: Use AI home, Use AI chat, View AI listing plans and View AI reporting.
If an admin had already set someone's AI permissions, that person keeps exactly those.
Change someone's permissions
You need to be an account admin.
- Go to Settings, then Organization, and open the Members tab.
- Click the person.
- Open their Permissions tab and find the AI Agent group.
- Turn each permission on or off.
What someone without a permission sees
- The page is missing from the Taska AI menu. With none of the seven permissions, the whole Taska AI menu is missing.
- Opening a link to that page takes them to the first Taska page they can use, with "You don't have access to that page. Ask an account admin for access."
- Without Run AI listing plans, the + New plan buttons are hidden, and buttons such as Approve, Run and Undo show "You don't have permission to do this. Ask an account admin for access." In chat, Taska still answers questions and searches products, but explains that it can't create or run plans for them.
- Without Manage AI billing, credit messages ask them to contact an account admin instead of offering to buy credits.
Credits are shared
Everyone on the account uses the same credit balance. Credits used in chat or by a plan come from that balance, whoever used them.
