Taska overview: what it is and how it works

Taska is the AI assistant built into SureDone. It prepares your products for your sales channels and lists them for you, and it answers questions about your account in chat.

Good to know: Taska never publishes anything until you approve it.

What Taska can do

  • Pick the category for each product (the eBay category, the Amazon product type).
  • Fill in the required item specifics each channel asks for.
  • Fill in a missing product condition, using the Default Condition you set for your account.
  • Write channel-optimized titles and descriptions.
  • Publish products to your channels.
  • Answer questions about your account, your channels, your listings and listing errors.

How it works: plan, approve, run

Everything Taska changes goes through a listing plan.

  1. Plan. You choose which products, which channels, and what Taska should do for each product. You can build the plan yourself in the plan editor, or ask Taska in chat and it builds the plan for you.
  2. Approve. You review the plan: every product, every task, and the estimated credits. Nothing has changed yet. Approving costs nothing.
  3. Run. Taska does the work and publishes to your channels. You can watch the results come in and see what each channel said about each listing.

If a channel rejects a listing, Taska tries to fix the product and list it again, up to two times.

Before you undo a plan: Undo puts back the product fields the plan changed and ends every listing the plan submitted, including listings that were already live before the plan ran. Read "Undoing a Listing Plan in Taska" before you use it.

What Taska changes, and what it leaves alone

Taska changes only what the plan's actions say:

  • Category, item specifics and condition.
  • Channel titles and channel descriptions.
  • Publishing. Taska saves its changes on your products in SureDone, then, if the plan includes Submit to channel, sends the products to the channels in the plan.

Taska leaves alone:

  • Your shared product title, the one every channel uses. Taska writes optimized titles to each channel's own title field instead.
  • Prices and quantities. When Taska publishes a product, the channel gets the price and quantity saved on the product in SureDone, following your account's settings for skipping price and stock.

Which channels Taska works with

Taska works with Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Walmart, BigCommerce, Etsy, Magento 2, Google and Facebook.

A channel must be connected, enabled and authorized in SureDone before Taska can use it.

What it costs

Taska runs on credits. Every account gets free credits each month, and AI plans add a larger monthly allowance.

  • Each reply in chat uses credits.
  • Each plan Taska runs uses credits, whether you start it in the plan editor or in chat. Writing titles and descriptions uses the most.
  • You see an estimate before you run a plan.
  • Credits for work that failed inside SureDone are returned.

See "Taska billing and credits" for plans, the free trial and top-ups.

Where Taska lives in SureDone

Open Taska AI in the left menu. It has these pages:

  • Home: what needs your attention, your results, and a box to ask Taska anything.
  • Listing: All plans, and + New plan to create one.
  • Chat: your conversations with Taska.
  • Settings: saved product scopes, which kinds of work Taska may do, and your default channels.
  • Billing: your AI plan, credits and usage.
  • Reporting: results and a log of everything Taska has done.

You can also chat with Taska from the chat button in the bottom-right corner of most SureDone pages, such as the Dashboard, Channels and Settings. The button isn't on the Products, Orders or Bulk pages yet.

Your credit balance shows at the top of every Taska page.

Which pages you see depends on the AI permissions your account admin has given you. See "Managing team access to Taska".
