Amazon Listings API Upgrade - July 2025

SureDone is launching our integration with the new SP-API endpoints to manage Amazon listings. These new APIs come with a number of benefits and will help sellers more easily get new items listed to Amazon as well as improve performance for maintaining existing listings. These changes will go into place on Tuesday, July 29th.

Changes with the updated integration:

  • Now when posting to Amazon via the UI or the API, you will get validation errors in real-time, allowing you to make any required changes to your item data immediately, rather than waiting for feed results. If a successful response is returned, Amazon will still take some time to match or create ASINs asynchronously, the result of which can be checked in the logs. Bulk listings will continue to work the same as they have.
  • Amazon has introduced more granular categorization, with fields differing by Product Types (~1000 different schemas) rather than by Parent Category (~50 different schemas). This will automatically be reflected in the product details section when selecting a category. The Manage Fields mapping will now allow users to map custom fields in SureDone to specific fields on Amazon by default (meaning it will be used for all Product Types) or map different SureDone custom fields per product-type, which is similar to how the Manage Fields mapping has worked up until now.

How to prepare:

Sellers do not need to do anything prior to the 7/29/2025 migration date.
After the upgrade takes affect that day, there will be few changes to the Amazon product details on the product pages, including the updated Product Types, but otherwise there are not many changes to the existing Amazon listing management experience.

After the upgrade on July 29th, we ask all users to report any issues or questions they encounter when doing any of the following:

  • Posting new listings on Amazon in bulk or via the SureDone website
  • Updating inventory, price, or any other listing details on existing Amazon listings

Any questions or issues after the migration should be reported to our team at support.suredone.com or by emailing support@suredone.com. We ask that you include examples and details of the issue in the ticket to expedite our ability to resolve it and to use the most urgent priority level P1 only for critical issues impacting large numbers of listings or critical functionality like updating inventory.

Note: The orders integration has not been updated and no changes will occur for Amazon orders.
