edit product pages

We have a lot of channels. The edit product page is very cluttered. I would like fields for channels to be hidden, unless added in using the left column.  This way only the channels we want that product on, will have visable fields on the edit product page. If we want to put the product on a new channel, you would click on the channel name in the left column and those associated fields would appear.  

Also add some contrasting colors to the edit product pages for backgrounds. Make it easier to visually sererate sections.
